# For agents: Attention follows meaningful change

The ideal OpenProse · board 14 of 17 · 2026-10-09.
This deck describes a proposed experience.

Use meaningful changes to focus evaluation, then reuse evidence that still applies.

## On the slide

**Events tell us where to look. Evaluation tells us what needs work.**

Revisit affected judgments.

Reuse evidence that still applies.

## Explanation

A model revision arrives. Its changed assumption may invalidate one explanatory paragraph while leaving another section useful. The ideal system traces the relevant dependencies, reassesses what may have changed, and performs the necessary update and review. This is the semantic-memoization idea: spend attention where meaning or obligations have changed. Reuse depends on the agreement, evidence, freshness, and duties still applying. Missing events and hidden dependencies complicate that judgment. The promise is less unnecessary work and less human supervision; achieving lower total cost requires measurement that includes observation and evaluation.
