# For agents: Parameterized composition

The ideal OpenProse · board 6 of 17 · 2026-10-09.
This deck describes a proposed experience.

Supply contracts as named roles in a reusable relationship, such as assessing existing work.

## On the slide

**A contract can define the relationship between other contracts.**

Subject: the documentation agreement

Checker: the review agreement

Relationship: assess the subject's result

## Explanation

This is the additional move beyond combining requirements. A reusable contract can receive other contracts and specify their roles and mode of interaction. Here the subject describes the documentation, the checker describes a review, and the containing contract says how the checker assesses the subject's result. Supplying the documentation contract for assessment does not instruct the checker to rewrite the document. Other containing contracts can require supplied work to be performed, maintained, compared, or tested. The reusable component is the relationship as well as the work itself. Ordinary prose can express these bindings.
